AI course certificates and badges explained

A badge, completion certificate, attendance record and diploma do not all mean the same thing. Check who issues the award and what you have to do to earn it. If an employer or professional body needs to recognize it, ask them about that exact credential.

Find your starting point

Make Academy's Automation to AI Agents: Foundation lists six courses and an assessment leading to its AI Automation Explorer badge. The six-month course window does not pay for Make execution. Claude Academy describes completion badges for its lessons, activities and quizzes. Those are provider awards.

Microsoft's Draft, analyze, and present with Microsoft Copilot includes module knowledge checks, not professional certification. Edureka's first ExpertTrack Includes online assessments and certificates. The Professional Diploma in AI-Powered Executive Assistance uses a diploma title, but the issuer and assessment terms need checking.

Look at the completion requirement: a quiz, assignment, attendance, practical assessment or external exam. Keep the course practice, software access and employer recognition as separate questions.

Write down why you need the credential, such as internal development, a job requirement or client reassurance. Ask the recipient whether the exact issuer and award count, then check the assessment and certificate terms with the provider.
